St Andrew's Church

Dear Family and Friends of St. Andrews School,

We are all so blessed to live, work and learn in this beautiful rural area of Sussex. Our parish has been in existence for over a thousand years . For all that time there has been a Christian presence here at its core creating a sacred space of prayer and peace. Our faith is what provides a compass which helps us all, young and old, to navigate the journey of life. It is essential that we all have the opportunity to calibrate that compass and that is what the church here in this place still seeks to provide. A place of prayer and peace where we can all sit and simply be with God our creator, sustainer and redeemer. A place where we can gather to pray and to sing together.

Once a fortnight the children walk from school to St Andrews church for a short service of songs, prayers and bible stories.   The children play a leading part in this fortnightly gathering as they lead the prayers, read the bible stories, help with the talk, manage the projector and also ring the church bells.

As a church family we also love those special points during the year when the school choir is able to join us for the occasional Sunday service.

It is such a joy for us as our church family continue to be an integral part of the life of this wonderful school community.
