Physical Education
We view PE as an essential part of school life and also the wider community. Children should learn about the benefits of exercise both physically and mentally as well as learning to play different sports and games for an extended period of time. Skills and exercises are learnt in a specifically taught progression to allow for progression and mastery. It is essential that skills are taught in a transferable way to allow children to access a large range of sports and games competitively. The fundamentals of fair play, sportsmanship and the spirit of the games are also taught.
